Sharon was born and raised in Denton, Texas and is a graduate of Billy Ryan High School. She is a proud Citizen of the Cherokee Nation. Sharon attended North Central Texas College initially, but graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Government-Public Service in 2001. After college, Sharon’s love for travel led her to employment in the airline industry, performing background checks and fingerprinting. She later briefly worked at a locum tenens firm doing medical licensing for physicians and CRNA’s. Sharon’s employment experiences have provided her with a strong base of knowledge in the area of regulatory processes.

Sharon attended Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating in May 2008. During law school, she participated in the inaugural Oklahoma City University Summer Institute in International Law in Tianjin, China, studying alongside American and Chinese law students at Nankai University. She also participated in the University of Oklahoma College of Law Oxford Program at Brasenose College in Oxford, England. Sharon was active in Moot Court as a law student, participating in both an intra-school competition in her first year and the American Constitution Society Constance Baker Motley National Moot Court Competition at UCLA in her second year. Sharon was also active in student organizations at Oklahoma City University School of Law, serving as Vice President of Administrative Affairs for the American Constitution Society and Treasurer of the Texas Legal Society.  Sharon also volunteered at Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Inc., assisting in the areas of family law and elder law.

During law school and prior to opening her own law firm, Sharon interned for two different law firms, gaining experience primarily in the areas of family law, insurance defense and subrogation, business formation, estate planning, and civil litigation. In May 2007, the Supreme Court of Oklahoma granted Sharon a Legal Intern license, which allowed her to practice law while a student under the supervision of an attorney. Sharon was admitted to practice law in Texas by the Texas Supreme Court on November 6, 2009.  Sharon established The Law Office of Sharon L. Wilson, PLLC in November 2009.

Sharon has a strong sense of community and strives to assist citizens of Denton County.  She has spent her time as an attorney fighting for the residents of Denton County in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Law, Probate, and Debt relations.  She is an attorney ad litem for parents and children in Child Abuse and Neglect cases.  Sharon strives to serve her clients while helping make Denton a better place to live.
